Alphabet soup ... ANSI/NAHB/LEED ... EIEIO!
How important is it to you that your new home or remodeling project is a "certified green" job? With so many different definitions floating around out there of what building green really means, it makes sense to come to some agreed upon standards.
The American National Standards Institiue (ANSI) has recently approved the National Green Building Standard. And subsequently, the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) has taken on the standards for it's National Green Building program (NAHB Green) giving builders and homeowners both a standard set of guidelines and language to go by. There are different levels of certification providing some flexibility in the guidelines.
