Celebrate Earth Day with a home energy diagnostic

By: McCoy's Editorial Team

Earth Day is 40 years old tomorrow. In the last four decades, America has come a long way on how we treat our home planet. For many of us, going green starts at home, and the EPA wants to encourage people to create more energy-efficient houses.

The following link is to an EPA-created computer program that tells you how much you could save by making your home more energy efficient. Based on local utility and climate information, the program calculates your savings in money and energy when you make changes to your home’s insulation, windows, doors, weather-stripping or caulking. It even tells you how much your actions would reduce current pollution levels.

Do the math. Then Go Build Something for Earth Day.
