Ceramic insulating roof coatings

NASA has given us a lot of useful technology: memory foam mattresses, Tang, freeze-dried ice cream, and now ceramics. NASA uses ceramic tiles to protect the space shuttles, and this ceramic technology has spawned another “as used by NASA” product. When it comes to building supplies, many coatings manufacturers are touting the benefits of ceramic paint additives for keeping the brutal rays of the sun at bay. But does it really work?
