Tax Credit Extension a Positive Step Toward Sustained Real Estate Recovery

We have been keeping up with the issue of whether or not Congress was going to extend and/or expand the First Time Home Buyers tax credit. Well the verdict is in, and they have voted to do both. There has been much discussion of whether or not this is a good thing for the economy. But in any case, if you're either a builder or a prospective home buyer, this could impact your business or your pocketbook.

The $8,000 tax credit for new home buyers has now been extended to April 30, 2010. And Congress did vote to create a new $6,500 tax credit for existing home owners. There are a few more stipulations to take advantage of this credit. Learn more, and see if you qualify.
