EPA and DOE working hard to polish the Energy Star

EPA will now take the lead role on the Energy Star program

We have talked here before about both the fact that some Energy Star labeled products have been called into question as to whether or not they meet the standards they profess, as well as the fact that the EPA is taking over day-to-day administration of the program from the DOE.

This next post does a good job of outlining what the two agencies are doing in their attempts to get the Energy Star label shining brightly again. They are striving to get products with the Energy Star designation back to the status they once held in the minds of both builders and homeowners. Trust is a tough thing to build back.
