EPA releases WaterSense specs for showers
With the amount of rain and snow the country’s been getting lately, it may be hard to wrap your head around the need for water conservation. But the EPA has been doing just that.
On March 4, they released their new specifications for shower heads to receive their green WaterSense label. Shower heads that qualify for the WaterSense label must have a flow rate of 2 gpm or less—20% lower than the current federal standard.
Look for new WaterSense certified shower heads to hit shelves as early as mid-April.
