Green building will continue to grow significantly, if not exponentially

Isn't it great to have positive people out there who are always looking for ways to make lemonade out of lemons? With the current state of the building and remodeling industry, and the economy in general, it's refreshing to find some encouraging viewpoints. The following article highlights some of the reasons that in a down economy, a very legitimate case can be made by green building professionals about the benefits of building the green way.

Yes, sometimes it does cost incrementally more up front, but the long-term benefits are there. And it doesn't necessarily have to cost more in some cases to build or remodel in a sustainable, environmentally-friendly way. The down economy can serve as a catalyst, but in reality, the things discussed in this post really represent what should be some permanent ways that we think about how to get things done in the building and remodeling industry regardless of the economy.
