House amendment relieves pressure from EPA Lead Paint Rule
The EPA’s lead paint rule is in the news again. The Environmental Agency is having problems meeting standards they set for themselves when the final Lead: Renovation, Repair and Remodeling (RRP) rule was put into place. The U.S. House Appropriations Committee adopted an amendment on July 12 that will prevent the EPA from enforcing the lead RRP rule until they approve a commercially available lead test kit that meet certain accuracy standards.
