LEED Platinum zero net energy home

zero net energy home

Wouldn't it be great to live in a home where you could significantly lower your monthly energy bills? We all think about it and read about it. We may even do some home improvement projects to our current home to help save energy. But no matter what we do the energy bills come every month, and at times it may not seem like we're making any progress.

Well how about living in a home that gets by with a zero net energy bill? Yeah, that's rightNO energy bills. Here is a LEED Platinum home in Vermont that has accomplished just that. And I know what you're thinking–it's some kind of hut with a thatch roof. No, this is a decent sized, nice looking single family home. So, the encouraging news is, getting less and less dependent on the local utility company is slowly becoming a reality.
