high energy costs and concern over global warming have come together to push eco-friendly awareness to the forefront of American consciousness

We've touched on this subject many times before. And we'll keep coming back to it, because so much of this content is still new to people. We're talking about what it means to be green.

The following article does a good job of explaining the basics of a green home inspection. And it talks about LEED Certification and NAHB Green Building Certification, which are the two organizations that are at the forefront of establishing standards and consistency in defining what constitutes a truly green home.
