Everything’s bigger in Texas, including green building. A new 313-unit apartment development built next door to the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas has become the largest project to date to receive the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) National Green Building Standard certification. The project, titled The Voyager at Space Center, earned green points for reusing portions of a former government office building located near NASA. NAHB Research Center President Mike Luzier said the certification showcased the standard’s ease and adaptability for any kind of building.
