Realtors extend the $8,000 new home buyer tax credit
Procrastinators can get a second (or third) chance at earning a tax credit on their new home. As the federal new home buyer tax credit expires at the end of April, some realtors hope to keep the buying momentum going by extending their own rebate.
Coldwell Banker Real Estate is encouraging buyers who haven’t found a home yet to continue looking by offering their own credit of three percent, up to $8,000, to buyers who purchase select homes from May 1 through July 31.
