Solar cells to double as windows and skylights

One complaint against installing solar cells on a roof is that they corrupt the overall look of a house. The glass panels are considered a bit of an eyesore. One manufacturer is working to incorporate solar in design areas that are already glass—windows and skylights.

These glass tiles have mirrors that reflect light into internal solar cells but still allows light to pass through to illuminate your home. And it produces as much electricity as a comparably sized solar panel placed on a flat roof.

What a bright idea!
