Under the circumstances, it's the lease we can do
Not sure how things are in your world, but around here this current global economic crisis kind of sprung up on us fast. One day things are rocking along just fine, and the next day we find ourselves in a financial meltdown. And, as a result, many home builders are finding themselves with an excess inventory of homes that are built and ready for occupancy in a market short on buyers.
Potential home buyers are being extra cautious, and some folks are in between homes because of failed mortgages or job changes. One thing to consider is turning some of that spec home inventory into lease property. The following post illustrates how several builders have proactively gone about putting together a business plan taking spec homes that were sitting on the ground costing them money and turning them into rental property that's earning them money.
