What an unfortunate roller coaster ride the past 18 to 20+ months have been for anyone involved in the housing industry. There were early signs and then things just went from bad to worse. Then the market took a downturn from there! Hopefully, we can believe some recent indicators we're seeing that the worst may be over.

So what can we learn from all of this? The questionable lending and borrowing that was going on aside, there's got to be some lessons here that builders can gain knowledge from. And perhaps we can be smarter and make better decisions if a downturn like this were to come along again.
