On a business trip recently, I made sure the hotel I was staying in offered free wireless internet. Now with an upcoming family vacation, I noticed as I checked out the place that I'd be staying online, that they charge an arm and a leg for wireless internet access. So the budget hotel gives you free internet access but the more upscale hotel charges ... hmmm.

The following article makes some very interesting points using the above example and others as to how we, as homeowners, can ever get over the hump when it comes to doing large-scale, energy-efficient home renovations. We all know that it saves us money in the long run, but it's the short run expense that sometimes turns us off.
