protect yourself from liability when remodeling or building a home

Building a new home, and even some heavy remodeling jobs, can be dangerous. Not that everyone from the builder on down to the subcontractors aren't doing everything they can to keep the workplace safe, but let's face it. You're dealing with very heavy equipment, very heavy materials, heights, electricity, high powered saws, and on and on. You get the picture.

So what are some of the things you, as a homeowner having a home built or an extensive remodel done, need to be on the lookout for? The following post is by no means intended to be a complete list but it does serve as a good reminder of the things you should be asking questions about when it comes to protecting yourself from liability when involved in a project.

Make sure you're protected during the construction process.
