A hill country tradition, the Annual Pro-Open VFW Rodeo and PBR Bull Riding has been held for more than 60 years on the first weekend in July at the VFW's rodeo grounds just north of town on Ranch Road 12. Once the largest outdoor rodeo in the world, this event still ranks near the top. Come see Cliff Mulanax and McCoy’s Farm and Ranch Outfitters host a mutton busting event at the VFW Rodeo.
