Safe at Home program builds wheelchair ramp at Staples couple’s home
SAN MARCOS, Texas—The "Safe at Home" program at Texas State University-San Marcos, under the joint cooperative PRAXIS, completed a wheelchair ramp build on Friday, for Staples residents and Safe at Home clients Leo and Eileen Whitten.
Texas State student volunteers from the Health Administration department, under the supervision of Seth Lawhead of Lawhead General Contacting, constructed the ramp at 200 Park Avenue. McCoy's Building Supply donated all the materials for the project.

McCoy’s Building Supply CEO named Lumberman of the Year
SAN MARCOS, Texas—The Lumbermen’s Association of Texas (LAT) honored Brian McCoy, President and CEO of Texas-based McCoy’s Building Supply, as Lumberman of the Year at their annual convention held in San Antonio on April 11.
For more than 120 years, the LAT has promoted ethics, commitment, professionalism and innovation in Texas’ lumber industry.
LAT Executive Vice President, Barbara Douglas, says McCoy was a natural choice for Lumberman of the Year.

Free battery recycling available at McCoy’s stores
SAN MARCOS, Texas—McCoy’s Building Supply has joined the Call2Recycle program, hosted by the Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation (RBRC). Through this program, McCoy’s is accepting rechargeable batteries and old cell phones for proper disposal and recycling.

Promotions position McCoy’s for growth
SAN MARCOS, Texas—In order to take its strategic planning and business execution to the next level, McCoy Corporation, one of the nation’s largest family-owned retail building supply companies, has created three new Senior Vice President positions.
The company has promoted John Meeks, Rick Neal and Dennis Strong to the new positions. As Senior Vice Presidents, they will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and management for McCoy’s and will report directly to President/CEO Brian McCoy and Executive Vice President C.R. (Chuck) Churchwell III.
