Wanda Hubbert Winner of McCoy’s Building Supply’s Fantastic Fisherman’s Giveaway

Congratulations to Wanda Hubbert, a loyal customer of McCoy’s Building Supply in Floresville. Wanda was the lucky winner of the McCoy’s Fantastic Fisherman’s Giveaway sponsored by Glidden® beating out over 6,200 other entrants for the $20,000 prize package!  Wanda won a 16ft. MAKO® Marine Skiff with Mercury® motor and Karavan® trailer, a Bison® cooler and gift cards to Sunglass Hut®, Academy® and Bass Pro®. 

When asked about her reaction upon learning she’d won the Fantastic Fisherman’s Giveaway, Wanda laughs and responds, “Well, I thought it was a hoax because I’d never won anything in my life. It took a couple of phone calls from Tim Rogers (Advertising and Marketing Manager at McCoy’s) before I truly believed I’d won.” 

Wanda and her husband, Robert, plan to stay busy on their new boat. “We have three sons and a daughter who love fishing,” shares Wanda. “It’s a great family thing. We love freshwater fishing at Lake LBJ in Austin and saltwater fishing in Port Aransas.”

Although the Hubbert’s address technically falls within San Antonio, both are frequent shoppers at the Floresville McCoy’s store that opened in 2013. “I don’t know everything about tools and hardware,” reveals Wanda, “but the Floresville Team treats me with respect and always asks if they can help with anything.” Robert adds, “I love McCoy’s because it reminds me of the good ol’ hardware stores.  McCoy’s has most everything I need and the store is so well laid-out and easy to navigate.”
