McCoy’s Building Supply is a family-owned company that’s been in business for over 90 years serving professional homebuilders, repair/remodelers, do-it-yourselfers and the farm and ranch community. Our company spans three states (Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico) with 85 stores, two millwork facilities, and reload and distribution centers. Our corporate headquarters are in San Marcos, Texas.
People & Atmosphere
We take pride in the tenure of our employees and the career paths they choose. Many team members enjoy the stability of our hours including dedicated Sundays off. They also enjoy having the ability to work in their communities long-term. Every McCoy’s store puts down roots in its local community and aims to serve in the way that best supports its town whether through sponsorships, local donations or other forms of outreach.
We make an effort to truly get to know one another at McCoy’s. This helps us care for each other as friends, coworkers, and mentors while also caring for our customers. We value open communication and strive for an exceptional customer experience. At McCoy’s, it's not just a job, it's a family! As a family-owned company, it’s exciting to have siblings, parents and children, and husband and wife teams working together throughout McCoy’s Building Supply. When you join the McCoy’s team, you can be sure you’re becoming a part of the family, too.
“I started as a cashier and then cross-trained for an office administrator position before eventually becoming the store inventory coordinator. My job is never dull and I really enjoy helping customers. If you want to work for a company that cares about the welfare of their employees and is supportive of the endeavors that mean something to you, then McCoy’s is the place for you.” - Brenda Carney, Aransas Pass Store (18 years of service)
“My first role at McCoy’s was in the yard crew. I became an assistant manager before moving to headquarters and joining Merchandising. McCoy’s is a place that awards hard work and ethical work regardless of background or any other factor. My biggest piece of advice for anyone wanting change roles or move from the stores to HQ would be to do your research and ask a lot of questions. Talk to people already in that area so you know the expectations.” - Brandon Bishop, Vice President of Merchandising (15 years of service)
