- Aromatic Red Cedar is easy to work, notwithstanding any knots or irregularities present in the wood; it has a distinct and tell-tale scent and is commonly used in closets and chests to repel moths and other insects
- This Appearance grade is visually selected for less wane and fewer knotholes than grade No. 3 allows; No. 3 grade lumber is designed for use in construction where higher grade requirements are not needed; all pieces of this grade must be usable full length, therefore No. 3 combines usefulness with economical construction
