Agathis also know as "Kauri" or "Dammar" is a coniferous tree that grows in the southern hemisphere; similar to Asian Birch, often substituted for Birch and less expensive; it has a softer grain and primarily used for furniture components; provides a good painting surface
This plywood has a B grade on the front and a 2 grade on the back; a B grade face contains the desired natural characteristics and appearance of the species; a 2 grade provides a sound surface with all openings in the veneer repaired except for vertical worm holes not larger than 1/16"
