When will I receive my last paycheck?
When an employee resigns his or her position, the final paycheck will be processed (as normal) with the next regularly scheduled payroll, unless other arrangements have been made in advance. In the case of an involuntary termination, the final check will be issued according to State Law and mailed via certified mail to the address on file. If there are unpaid obligations (i.e. uniforms and payroll advances) to McCoy’s, the final paycheck will reflect the appropriate deduction as permitted by law.
How long will I have insurance coverage?
Medical and Dental benefits will end on the last day of the month that you were employed. All other benefits end on your last day of employment. A departing employee has the option to convert his or her group life insurance to an individual life insurance and/or to continue Medical/Dental/Vision Benefits in accordance with the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA) regulations. Employees dismissed for gross misconduct may not have this privilege.
For more information about McCoy's COBRA coverage visit www.discoverybenefits.com or call (866) 451-3399.
What about my vacation (PTO) days?
Full-time employees who separate from McCoy's will be paid for any unused vacation days.
