Southern Pine, Kiln Dried After Treatment, D & Better grade lumber. Often described as a 16 ft, 1 x 6 (nominal sizing), this product typically measures 3/4 in thick by 5-1/2 in wide. Appearance notes: Surfaced on 4 Sides.
- Southern Pine lumber has been popular since Colonial times and consists of four main species: longleaf, loblolly, shortleaf and slash; design values for Southern Pine are comparable to other softwood species used in residential and commercial construction
- When appearance is more of a factor, D Grade will contain smaller, fewer, tight, sound knots and is virtually wane-free. It is most commonly used in applications requiring a fine finish such as flooring and wall paneling.
- Kiln dried after treatment- original Kiln Dried moisture content of 19% or less; all the weather-beating durability you demand from treated wood, yet it's dried in a kiln, which dramatically reduces shrinking, checking and warping. You'll not only find it's easy to measure and easy to cut, but you can stain or treat it immediately, no drying time necessary
