Western Red Cedar, Kiln Dried, D & Better grade lumber. Often described as a 48 ft, 2 x 2 (nominal sizing), this product typically measures 1-1/2 in thick by 1-1/2 in wide. Appearance notes: Surfaced on 4 Sides.
- Western Red Cedar is popular because it’s attractive, durable and naturally resistant to rot, decay and insect attacks which means it’s often used in outdoor applications
- When appearance is more of a factor, D Grade will contain smaller, fewer, tight, sound knots and is virtually wane-free. It is most commonly used in applications requiring a fine finish such as flooring and wall paneling.
- Kiln dried – moisture content of 19% or less
