Aromatic Red Cedar, Green, No. 3 Appearance grade lumber. Often described as an 8 ft, 1 x 8 (nominal sizing), this product typically measures 3/4 in thick by 7-1/4 in wide. Appearance notes: Surfaced on 2 Sides.

Aromatic Red Cedar is easy to work, notwithstanding any knots or irregularities present in the wood; it has a distinct and tell-tale scent and is commonly used in closets and chests to repel moths and other insects
This Appearance grade is visually selected for less wane and fewer knotholes than grade No. 3 allows; No. 3 grade lumber is designed for use in construction where higher grade requirements are not needed; all pieces of this grade must be usable full length, therefore No. 3 combines usefulness with economical construction
Surfaced green – moisture content in excess of 19%
The board has been surfaced smooth on 2 sides; the edges are left rough
