Western Red Cedar, Air Dried, No. 2 & Better grade lumber. Often described as an 8 ft, 2 x 4 (nominal sizing), this product typically measures 1-1/2 in thick by 3-1/2 in wide. Appearance notes: Rough Sawn.

Western Red Cedar is popular because it’s attractive, durable and naturally resistant to rot, decay and insect attacks which means it’s often used in outdoor applications
No. 2 & Better grade lumber is used in all general construction; this grade is designed for the many uses where higher strength properties are not needed and where serviceability is important; few defects are permitted and knots of any quality are allowed as long as they are well spaced and do not exceed size regulations; this grade may also include grades “Better” than No. 2
The wood dried by exposure to air under natural conditions; usually has a moisture content moisture content of 24% or less
