CD grade Underlayment - this product is 1-1/8 in thick, 4 ft wide by 8 ft long and is made from Southern Pine. This product is also tongue & groove.
- Southern Pine lumber has been popular since Colonial times and consists of four main species: longleaf, loblolly, shortleaf and slash; design values for Southern Pine are comparable to other softwood species used in residential and commercial construction
- With CD grade structural plywood, this means that the face has knots and defects filled in and the reverse may have some that are not filled; neither face is an appearance grade, nor are they sanded smooth
- Plywood underlayment is the layer of plywood that is fastened over the structural sub-floor and creates a uniform, smooth surface for resilient flooring, vinyl tile, ceramic tile, carpet, engineered flooring, and wood floors
